Freelance frontend & WordPress developer for hire.
Hi, I’m Marc Jenkins and I’m a freelance frontend web developer. I work with agencies, helping them craft beautiful websites for their clients. I’m based just outside of Birmingham, UK.
What do you do?
I’m a frontend developer and WordPress specialist. I’ve also got experience with MODX, Kirby and Perch. I take your designs and code them using the latest best practices and then implement them into your CMS of choice. I design websites too if required.
Here’s what I do in a nutshell:
- Websites, from start to finish
- WordPress and MODX integration
- Coding your designs
- Frontend dev best practices & consultancy
What experience do you have?
I’ve been building websites for over a decade with agencies and clients of all sizes. I’ve worked on websites for Debenhams, The Guardian Media Group, Lloyds Bank Foundation, and Mitie. Some of the websites I’ve worked on have had over 100,000 unique monthly visitors.

What tools do you use?
Why should I use you?
I’ve managed projects for agencies and I know what it’s like to be let down by freelancers. My goal as a freelancer is to make your job easier by being reliable and sticking to deadlines.
Sounds obvious, but in my experience that’s not always the case.
I deliver great work because I deeply care about what I do. I’m also a great communicator and I guarantee you won’t need to chase me for work.
Do you work on-site?
If you’re local, then yes. Typically I work 2-3 days on-site, and 2-3 days remotely.
How much do you charge?
I charge £300/day although my proposals usually include a fixed project cost. Plus travel expenses, should you want me to work on-site.
Here’s what some of my clients had to say:
“I’ve worked with a multitude of my peers over the years but Marc’s professionalism makes him stand out. We agreed clear acceptance criteria before work started and I got regular updates as the job progressed. He did great work and it came in under budget; I couldn’t have asked for more.”Darren Beale Owner, Siftware
