Opportunities vs. excuses

10 opportunities you could take today:

  1. Write a thank you note
  2. Surprise your partner, friends, or colleagues
  3. Say no to something that doesn’t align with your goals and values
  4. Share a solution to a problem you’ve recently had
  5. Write a blog post
  6. Ask for help
  7. Help others
  8. Read something new
  9. Do something you haven’t done before
  10. Enjoy the moment

10 excuses you could make today:

  1. I don’t have time
  2. I’m not in the mood
  3. I’m not good enough
  4. I don’t have a degree
  5. I’m too busy
  6. I don’t have talent
  7. I’m worried about what others will think
  8. I don’t have the money
  9. I don’t have the equipment
  10. My boss won’t let me

Every day, we’re presented with endless opportunities and we’re equipped with an equally large arsenal of excuses. And every day, we have a decision to make. Opportunity or excuse. We always get a choice.
