Noise & Grain
I’ve worked with my friend Adam Wilson on various projects for several years.
About a year ago, we discussed setting up something more formal.
A year later, we finally shipped our work-in-progress website.
So, now I can talk about it here. I’m excited to introduce our small web design studio, Noise & Grain. We are focused on building great websites for what we call “good causes”, essentially museums, charities, and not-for-profits.
While 16by9 – my solo consulting practice – is ticking over nicely, Noise & Grain presents a few opportunities I’m excited about:
- I’m eager to work on larger and more challenging projects. We’re looking for projects in the £20k-£50k range, which allows us to tackle some really interesting problems.
- I’ve always enjoyed working independently but have missed working in a team. Working on larger projects means working with more people, and I’m finding it really rewarding bouncing ideas off other people again.
- Our focus on museums, heritage organisations, charities, and not-for-profits is my attempt to add more meaning to my work. At this stage in my career, I want to feel like I’m doing work that matters.
We’re looking for copywriters and other freelancers with experience working with museums, charities, or not-for-profits. If you’re interested in potentially teaming up, email and say hello. We may need you on an upcoming project.
